Responsible for full vessel attendance and coordination with port, immigration, customs, and other relevant authorities in Oman. The role ensures smooth port calls, timely clearance, efficient crew changes, and comprehensive vessel husbandry support in compliance with Omani maritime regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend vessels on arrival and departure at Omani ports and offshore locations
- Handle port, immigration, customs, and other statutory clearances in accordance with Omani regulations
- Coordinate and process crew change formalities, including visas, immigration, and port access
- Liaise with port authorities, immigration, customs, coast guard, agents, and service providers
- Arrange and supervise vessel husbandry services (cash to master, provisions, spares, medical assistance, repairs, transport, etc.)
- Ensure timely submission and collection of all vessel and crew documentation
- Monitor port operations to avoid delays, penalties, or non-compliance
- Provide real-time updates to operations and principals regarding vessel status
- Maintain accurate records and reports for each port call
- Support emergency or urgent vessel requirements as needed
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a PRO / Boarding Officer in Maritime Ship Agency (Offshore/Port Operations)
- Strong working knowledge of Omani port and immigration procedures is mandatory
- Proven experience in vessel attendance, crew change, and husbandry operations
- Familiarity with Omani port authorities and government entities
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple vessel calls simultaneously
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
- Valid Omani driving license preferred
- Candidates must be currently based in Oman
